Introductory Talk on Hermetics

As noted on the FranzBardonMagi list, I came across this by chance recently:

August 30 – Introduction to Hermetics by Gerhard Hanswille

One of the owners of Merkur Publishing, Mr. Gerhard Hanswille, will be presenting an Introduction to Hermeticism. Merkur is the current US publisher of the Franz Bardon books which Mr. Hanswille translates from the German.

Library, 210 east 400 South, Salt Lake City. Starting time is 7:00 PM.

Topics to be covered:

• The difference between magic and sorcery.
• The fundamental attributes of the spirit and the soul.
• The nourishment of the body, soul and spirit.
• The will.
• Components of the “I” Consciousness.
• A brief overview of the elements of fire, water, air and earth.
• Requirements to reach the highest level of perfection.
• Quantity and quality.
• The law of cause and effect.

This is part of a bimonthly public lecture series with Horus Oasis OTO of Salt Lake City (I have no connection to OTO by the way). If you’re travelling far for this its probably best to double check the details nearer the time, here are the links I spotted.
